The Serafin Group has taken over drill manufacturer KEIL in Engelskirchen, expanding its presence in the market for quality tools. Both parties have agreed to keep the purchase price under wraps.
KEIL is an established, medium-sized manufacturer of quality drilling tools for professional applications. For more than 50 years the company has been a tool industry partner and the traditional company from North Rhine-Westphalia has 60 employees.
Serafin also owns Heller Tools.
"This solution, which we favoured in the course of the upcoming generation change, ensures the future viability of KEIL," explained Managing Directors Petra and Jürgen Bergfelder. "We are convinced that a long-term new owner will have a positive impact on the strategic development of the company."
KEIL will remain as an independent company with its own brand presence and own production and will continue its growth course as a specialist for high-quality drilling tools with an international presence. At the same time, the Synergies in procurement and production, which are already part of the Serafin-owned drill manufacturer Heller Tools GmbH, are also being created.
Philipp Haindl, Managing Director of the Serafin Group, added: "The acquisition of KEIL is a very good expansion of our activities in the tool sector. In particular, we are able to expand our presence in the quality drill segment and provide differentiated offerings for our customers with two strong brands."
