The fischer Group of Companies has fully acquired mobile robotic solutions company BauBot, aiming to strengthen robotics applications on construction sites.
Collaborations between the two companies began in 2022, as the Fischer Group of Companies acquired the majority of BauBot’s stake at that time. The companies co-developed the BauBot construction robot, which enables fully-automated drilling, cleaning and marking of drill holes in walls, floors and ceilings, as well as the future installation of fischer fastening solutions.
“The use of robotics is a paradigm shift in the construction industry to make building safer and more efficient. It can also be used to counter challenges such as the shortage of skilled labour,” said Prof Klaus Fischer, owner of the fischer Group of Companies.
“The complete takeover of BauBot is therefore the next logical step for us in our successful collaboration with the start-up in order to jointly advance the use of robotics in construction,” Fischer added.
Looking ahead, the fischer Group of Companies also aims to tap into the opportunities in new and existing international markets after the acquisition.
Founded in 2017 with a focus on on-site 3D printing for paving stone structures, BauBot established itself as a specialist for automation solutions in the construction industry.
