Atlas Copco has released its report for the first quarter of 2023 which reveals record order intake, solid revenues and profitability.
Orders received in the period increased 18% to MSEK 47 707 (40 379), representing organic growth of 5% compared to the same period in 2022.
Revenue was up 32% to MSEK 39 861 (30 086), with organic growth of 18%. While operating profit reached MSEK 8 699 (6 749), corresponding to a margin of 21.8% (22.4). Adjusted operating profit, excluding items affecting comparability, was MSEK 8 663 (6 525), corresponding to a margin of 21.7% (21.7).
The profit before tax amounted to MSEK 8 655 (6 671).
Looking ahead, Atlas Copco expects that the underlying customer activity level will remain at the current level in the near term, which is in line with previous near-term demand outlook that was published in January 2023.
