Atlas Copco Group has acquired Pennine Pneumatic Services Limited (PPS), a compressed air distributor in Yorkshire.
Both companies did not disclose the purchase price of the acquisition. Based in Brighouse in Yorkshire, PPS offers energy-saving advice and solutions to manufacturers and other industries, including compressors, gas generators, chillers, pneumatics, pipework, ducting and assembly tools, with applications relying on compressed air and related systems and services.
Customers of PPS include businesses in various manufacturing industries, such as automotive and rail, chemical, construction and engineering, and food and beverages. Founded in 1991, PPS has branches in Sheffield, Hull, Leigh and Alfreton and has 84 employees.
“PPS showcases strong sales and service presence in the North of England which will open additional opportunities for us going forward,” said Philippe Ernens, Business Area President Compressor Technique at Atlas Copco Group.
After the acquisition, PPS will become part of the Service division within the Compressor Technique business area.
Atlas Copco Group also recently acquired SCS Makina A.Ş. (SCS), a compressor distributor in Türkiye.
