Re-developed from the ground up, Technology House in Hemel Hempstead was officially unveiled as the new Atlas Copco Group HQ for the UK & Ireland region. Distinguished guests joined customers, partners, neighbours, and employees to celebrate the special milestone together.
On January 30, the Atlas Copco Group officially opened the new UK & Ireland headquarters. Distinguished guests including the Ambassador to Sweden H.E Mr Stefan Gullgren and The Mayor of Dacorum Mr William Allen, Business Area Presidents Andrew Walker and Geert Follens, SVP Human Resources Cecilia Sandberg, SVP Communications & Sustainability Sara Hagg Liljedal and Divisional Presidents Stefaan Vertriest and Oskar Sorensson joined customers, partners, neighbours, and employees to celebrate the opening.
Refurbished from the ground up, Technology House was transformed into a state-of-the-art facility that promotes wellbeing and interaction to create a working environment that inspires employees. The facility is home to several brands from the Atlas Copco Group, and the open plan layout hosts numerous shared spaces that creates opportunities for collaboration and engagement between business areas. Technology House was built with sustainability at the core of every step of the re-development process, ensuring the office is gentle on the environment yet bold in its design. From solar panels to rainwater harvesting, the daily operation of the facility is responsible and energy efficient. Furniture and equipment were refurbished and re-loved to minimize waste and get them up to a higher standard. As a result, the new headquarter is modern and unique whilst keeping the familiarity our employees have grown to love.
Established in 1919, the UK was the Atlas Copco Group’s first expansion outside of Scandinavia and has now grown to represent over 20 businesses and over 3000 employees in the region.
