A group of employees from Nantwich based TIMco, one of the UK’s largest independent suppliers of screws, fasteners and fixings, have raised more than £4,500 Claire House Children’s Hospice by completing a 50-mile Chester bike ride.
The team, made up of more than twenty employees as well as friends and family, met early morning on Sunday 2nd July at Chester’s Countess of Chester Hospital to head off on a gruelling 50-mile ride through the leafy lanes of the Cheshire countryside.
Simon Midwood, Managing Director of TIMco commented: “It was a fantastic and well organised event and great to see such a strong turnout from TIMco. The team put in a huge amount of effort to get fit for the day and we’re delighted to have been able to raise so much money for such a worthwhile cause.”
Claire House Children’s Hospice helps seriously and terminally ill children through specialist nursing & emotional support. Based in Bebington, Wirral the centre treats more than 44,000 patients a year. Further donations can be made to ‘TeamTIMco’ at JustGiving.com.
