Manufacturer and distributor of fixing systems, Index, has launched a new design software for calculating wooden structures which allows the user the make calculations for structural fixings on wood with lag screws, in accordance with Eurocode 5 (standard EN 1995-1-1).
The software, called INDEXwood, is already available on the firm's website. It enables users to determine, in a simple and intuitive wat, the fixing of wooden elements of different characteristics with cutting or torsion loads.
Updating from the application itself, the user will always have the latest version of the application with all of the CE marked lag screws in Index's catalogue, providing results which show the products that meet the specifications entered by the user. These specifications include the type of wood, dimension of lag screws, associated loads, and so on.
The programme is available in Spanish, English, French and German, and can be accessed here.
Back in February, Index unveiled a new corporate image, including a new logo and new slogan, “A Perfect Fixing”. The business said the changes are part of a fine-tuning process at all levels, reflected through the most visual elements of the company, its logo and its different advertising channels.
