Manufacturer of sealants, adhesives and building chemicals Bond It has confirmed its plans for the 2017 Big 5 Dubai exhibition, which runs from 26-29 November at the Dubai World Trade Centre.
The British business will use its stand (C281, Hall 7) at the largest construction expo for the Middle East to showcase a number of recent additions to its already comprehensive range of over 500 different product lines, including its recently extended 'Superhero' range.
Bond It also exhibited at the show last year (read our report from the Big 5 Dubai 2016 here).
Bond It's Superhero line-up includes Incredibond - a fibre reinforced, high strength, solvent-free, instant grab adhesive; The One - a premium grade, neutral cure multi-purpose silicone which can be used in place of most other silicones; and Xtreme - a high performance, permanently waterproof, anti-mould silicone.
Bond It will also focus on its new Glue Monster range which features two new adhesives. The first, Glue Monster Wood Adhesive, is a one part, ready to use, PVA timber adhesive with a D3 rating. It is suitable for a wide variety of general purpose, joinery applications. The second product is ‘The Beast'. A one part, polyurethane, super strength, D4 rated adhesive, The Beast is solvent-free, permanently flexible and completely waterproof - making it ideal for both interior and exterior use. It also cures in just 20 minutes and once cured can be overpainted or stained. In addition, The Beast is exceptionally versatile and can be used to effectively bond a whole range of common household and construction materials. This includes ceramic, stone, concrete, plaster, wood, chipboard, laminate, metal, glass, leather and most plastics.
Bond It will also be advising visitors to the Big 5 Dubai on how they can mitigate the effects of the current, global silicone shortage which is having a significant impact on both the availability and price of silicone sealants, the firm said. One highly effective solution is to switch to the latest generation of advanced hybrid sealants which offer performance to rival or surpass silicone sealants but without using silicone as a base material. Bond It has become a leading producer of hybrid sealants and will use the Big 5 Dubai to highlight one of its most popular and versatile hybrid products - Gripbond PRO. Solvent-free and low odour, Gripbond PRO can be used as a sealant when a tough, elastic, rubber joint is needed or as an adhesive when superior bonding strength is required. It is suitable for both interior and exterior applications, can be over-painted with water-based paints and offers excellent adhesion to most materials including moist substrates. It is also non-staining and will not discolour surfaces making it the perfect choice for use alongside natural stone.
