Anochrome Group has introduced a PFAS-free coating solution for the wind energy industry, which helps companies in the sector meet stringent environmental specifications.
In collaboration with NOF Metal Coatings Europe, Anochrome Group now offers Geomet® 321 + PLUS® VLh 2 Silver. This coating system is completely free of PFAS but still produces impressive protection performance.
According to NOF Metal Coatings Europe, PLUS® VLh is a technology that combines lubricants with silicate resin. It offers multiple benefits, including lubrication, corrosion protection, chemical resistance, colour tracing and the prevention of hydrogen embrittlement.
“The introduction of this high-performance coating aligns seamlessly with Anochrome Group’s core mission: to lead the surface coatings industry in environmental innovation, sustainability and advanced research and development. We can reduce environmental impact by eliminating PFAS from our coating systems while maintaining superior corrosion resistance and performance - critical in demanding industries such as wind energy, oil and gas, marine and infrastructure,” said Steve Norman, UK Divisional Director at Anochrome Group.
Anochrome Group is a NOF Metal Coatings Europe licensee.
PFAS are a group of synthetic compounds widely used for their non-stick, water-resistant and durable properties. Their persistence in the environment and potential health risks have driven global efforts to phase out PFAS-based materials.
