Threaded Fasteners Inc (TFI) has acquired Bolt & Nut Inc of Tampa, Florida, with effect from 5 January 2018, merging the two companies.
Mobile, Alabama-based Threaded Fasteners joined forces with the Bolt & Nut Inc. sales and manufacturing teams in Tampa, with the aim to create an even more dynamic platform to serve commercial and industrial clients in Florida and the Southeastern US.
Former owner and founder, Bob Cornett, will continue to own and operate Hurri-Bolt Inc., a manufacturer of hurricane bolts.
A shared belief in Christian values paved the way for the acquisition of Bolt & Nut Inc. by Threaded Fasteners, Cornett said: "It’s a natural for Threaded Fasteners” to buy Bolt & Nut Inc. “They know the business and what we do. We’ve done business with them for years.”
Billy Duren, president of TFI, said his goal is to continue building on the strong foundation and principles Cornett spent four decades cultivating in Tampa and across the globe.
“Bob Cornett has such an incredible story of success you just can’t help but be intrigued,” Duren said. “I have come to greatly admire him and in the past few months we have forged a genuine friendship.”
