Koelnmesse and Traya Eksibisi Internasional have announced a strategic collaboration to launch interzum jakarta and International Hardware Fair (IHF) Indonesia — powered by EISENWARENMESSE — alongside IFMAC WOODMAC, Indonesia’s leading event for the woodworking community. The 3-in-1 event will be held from 24-27 September 2025 at Jakarta International Expo (JIExpo), Jakarta, Indonesia. This concept replicates the successful model in Guangzhou, where CIFF/interzum guangzhou and CIFM are co-located together.
The collaboration aims to consolidate and co-locate three major events, showcasing the entire furniture production value chain under one roof, complemented by a dedicated hardware industry trade fair. This initiative will provide a comprehensive platform for industry professionals to conveniently explore the latest innovations, trends, and technologies in furniture production, woodworking machinery, and hardware at a single location.
An interzum showcase debuted in Indonesia as part of IFFINA from in September 2024 featuring major brands such as blum, Haefele, American Hardwood Export Council, Cyberlock, and others. The success of this showcase has led to its expansion into a full trade fair show, now called interzum jakarta. This event will be launched as a full trade fair show alongside the debut of the International Hardware Fair Indonesia in 2025.
interzum jakarta and International Hardware Fair Indonesia will be held alongside IFMAC — Indonesia’s largest woodworking machinery exhibition, bringing together a wide range of exhibitors and visitors from the furniture production and woodworking industries. The combined events will cover the entire value chain, from raw materials and components to machinery and tools, providing a one-stop solution for industry professionals. The involvement in IFMAC is a strategic move to eliminate competition between the three distinct shows, and instead foster synergies by leveraging IFMAC's existing visitor and partner base.
Southeast Asia is the world's fastest growing region, with significant economic expansion and a young population. Indonesia, with a population of 280 million, is the largest market in the region and a major global furniture manufacturing hub. The country emphasises protecting and developing its local furniture industry, investing heavily in upgrading manufacturing capabilities, and reducing raw material exports. The growing construction industry and the surge in demand for Do-It-Yourself (DIY) and home improvement stores are also driving the market.
The event is expected to attract over 20,000 attendees, including industry professionals, exhibitors, and visitors from around the region. It aims to provide unparalleled networking opportunities for stakeholders across the value-chain and foster meaningful connections within the industry.
"We are excited to partner with Traya Eksibisi Internasional to bring interzum jakarta and International Hardware Fair Indonesia to life. This collaboration will create a unique platform for industry professionals to connect, innovate, and drive the future of furniture production, hardware and woodworking industries," said Mathias Kuepper, Managing Director and VP Asia-Pacific of Koelnmesse.
"The co-location of these events will provide unparalleled opportunities for exhibitors and visitors alike. We look forward to bringing this vision to life with our long-time partner, Koelnmesse, showcasing the latest advancements in the industry and fostering meaningful connections," added Romi, President Director, PT. Amara Pameran Internasional.
