SARIV has updated its quality standards in both Environment and Health and Safety management.
Since March, the rivet manufacturer has achieved new standards in Environmental Management System (ISO 14001: 2015) and Occupational Health and Safety Management System (ISO 45001: 2018).
The application of the standards gives businesses the tools to actively manage environmental risk and to guarantee healthy and safe jobs, SARVI said.
The firm said that a lower environmental impact is key part of its mission. In addition to the ISO 45001:2015 certification, SARIV is also taking small but significant steps to reduce its impact, including switching to recycled paper only, as a step towards the digitisation of all documents.
In what may be considered a quirky move, the firm installed plants in its rivet production halls (as well as a greener washing system for degreasing products) back in 2017.
