Taking place 27-30 March 2017 at the Jeddah Centre, the show will be hoping to build on the previous show - the Dubai edition saw 75,000 participants and 2,586 exhibitors from 59 countries. Read more on that in our in-depth feature in our latest digital magazine here.
The Saudi show will also hope to capitalise on big predictions for the local sector too. The Saudi construction market is expected to reach $96.52 billion in 2025, according to BMI Research – a significant leap from last year’s $45.33 billion.
That growth may tap into Saudi Vision 2030, a plan intended to reduce the Kingdom’s dependence on oil and includes calls for big infrastructure projects to help drive economic growth. Advanced construction technology, such as 4D Building Information Models (BIM), is expected to feature more heavily in construction projects. Current Saudi BIM projects include the 340-metre Abdullah Arif Intersection Bridge in the Makkah Municipality.
