TAITRA has announced the postponement of this year's Taiwan International Fastener Show to September 2021, as a result of travel restrictions imposed to prevent the spread of the Covid-19 pandemic.
The organiser of the show, which was scheduled for October after being initially pushed back from April this year, said it had decided to postpone the event after it became clear that stakeholders, including international exhibitions, visitors and media, may not be able to attend the show due to travel restrictions in their own countries.
TAITRA confirmed it will refund all payments made by exhibitors for the Taiwan International Fastener Show 2020.
To serve exhibitors and buyers still in demand for marketing and procurement, TAITRA will continue to integrate digital marketing resources and host online exhibitions, sourcing meetings, digital industry forums, online new product launches, webinars, its TTS Insights online series, and other new types of online outreach activities.
In May, the organisation put on Taiwan Excellence Virtual Hardware and Fastener Industry Press Conference to provide international audiences with a first look at some of Taiwan’s most innovative hardware and fastener products, which saw more than 400 people attend the online event from around the world.
Up-to-date exhibition information can be found on the Taiwan International Fastener Show's website.
The show joins the likes of the International Fastener Exhibition in Las Vegas, and STAFDA's Annual Trade Show and Convention in California, which both also cancelled their events earlier this month due to concerns surrounding safety and travel restrictions amid the coronavirus pandemic.
