US tool giant Snap-on has been back on the acquisition trail with the purchase of Power Hawk Technologies.
Snap-on spent around $8m in cash on Power Hawk, which designs, manufactures and distributes critical rescue tools and related equipment for military, governmental and fire, rescue and emergency operations.
Based in Rockaway, New Jersey, Power Hawk will become part of Snap-on's Commercial & Industrial Group and will enhance and expand Snap-on's capabilities in providing solutions for serious professionals where the costs and penalties of failure are high.
Snap-on bought UK manufacturer Norbar back in 2017 (a move partly moved along by Brexit) and last year saw hand tool sales increase in Europe.
