Security fastener specialist Hafren has launched a new versatile tamper resistant self-threading security screw.
Aimed at all types of fencing applications, the tri-Lobular self-threading screw eliminates the need for nuts, reducing labour costs and installation time.
Tri-Lobular self-threading screws (also known as thread forming screws) are designed to tap (cut) their own threads as they are driven into a pre-drilled hole. This helps to eliminate the need for nuts or pre-tapped holes, dramatically reducing labour costs for installation. The unique tri-lobular configuration provides a built-in locking device to help ensure joint integrity and resist loosening caused by vibration
The new screws are stocked in Pan Head M8 x 35mm, with other sizes available to order.
For improved security the PowerSIX™ Security Screw has a unique 6-Lobe design which requires a specialised driver tool (standard 6-Lobe Pin/Pin TORX driver tools will not work).
The PowerSIX screws are also Geomet® 500 B coated for excellent corrosion protection and other benefits, including - Integrally lubricated for quick and easy installation; Bimetal compatibility with aluminium; and paintable coating ideal for fencing applications.
