Abbott Fasteners Ltd of Essex is stepping up its digital presence with a relaunched site and new social media accounts to reach out to customers.
The firm has been trading independently for almost 40 years and although well known in the industry its presence in the digital age has been "somewhat lacking", the firm admitted, prompting it make the move.
"After a revamp of the webpage and the addition of some online social media accounts we feel we might not have to fill the fax machine paper up as much," said Business Account Manager Dave Challis.

Challis added: "Abbott Fasteners will always be your traditional fastener supplier, our stocks of Imperial fasteners are one of the largest in the country. All metal self-locking nuts such as Vargal, Philidas, Stover including flanged in all threads, grades and finishes along with standard and metric fasteners in all forms are still here. We are just more contactable in the digital world now."
Abbott Fasteners said it also boasts the largest stock of genuine Helicoil products in the UK.
