The second Torque-Expo – the UK’s fastener, tool and associated industry show – made a triumphant return to Silverstone this October.
The trade-only event packed in over 80 exhibitors, 1000s of products, exclusive show special offers, innovations, seminars and more.
The busy two-day event of buying, networking and selling saw hundreds of highly targeted attendees visit the stands and exhibitors featuring tools, fasteners, fixings, sealants, clothing and services, as well as vote for their favourite products in the all-new Innovation Zone.
Social media activity significantly ramped up for the second Torque-Expo. Torque’s Twitter feed (twitter.com/TorqueExpo) alone received 21,400 impressions and 1,269 profile visits in the days preceding and during the Silverstone show.
Exhibitors and visitors alike took advantage of the opportunity to network with the rest of the industry at the second Torque-Expo Gala Dinner, which took place at nearby Whittlebury Hall on the first evening of the show (11th October). The crowd was wowed by two magicians – Paul Lytton and Mike Donoghue – during the pre-drinks reception and dinner then entertained by up-and-coming comedians Tom Glover and Luke Honnoraty.

Torque-Expo 2016 coincided with another plunge for Sterling against the US Dollar and Euro, so unsurprisingly currency, price rises and Brexit proved hot talking points at the show. Many in the industry expressed their desire for more details on the leaving process or to see the exit underway in order to remove potential uncertainties around current trading.
The organisers are currently polling visitors and exhibitors for their feedback to help shape plans for the next Torque-Expo. Watch this space for more details or contact the Torque team on 01727 739160 or info@torque-expo.com
