Zircon, manufacturer of "the original stud finder", is showcasing a line-up of its professional metal detectors at Cologne's 2020 International Hardware Fair as it pushes for further market penetration in Europe.
Zircon's extensive line of detectors, which locate rebar in concrete and live wires, metal and studs behind walls, floors, ceilings, will be at the early-March show in Hall 11.2 booth I-060.
Following a string of appointments designed to bolster its European support network for the construction industry, stud finder brand Zircon will also use its Cologne appearance to seek distribution in Austria and Switzerland. Show visitors will also have hands-on demo opportunities.
Range highlights
To address commercial, light industrial and professional environments, the Zircon MetalliScanner metal detection range uses inductive technologies to detect rebar. The industrial grade MetalliScanner MT X metal locator addresses the difficult task of locating rebar in tight grid patterns in concrete, potentially eliminating the need for costly ground penetrating radar.
When depth and metal differentiation is pertinent, the MetalliScanner MT 7 metal locator can find and differentiate between ferrous and non-ferrous metals. The MT 7 also indicates the approximate cover depth of the target and indicates when moving towards or away from metal.
To solve the problematic task of detecting studs in lath and plaster construction without metal mesh, the MetalliScanner m40 metal detector pinpoints small objects, such as screws and nails, to find the pattern of nails that attach the wood lath to the studs.
“The MetalliScanner line offers worldwide, superior technology that leaves no guesswork,” said Zircon Vice President of Marketing, Sharon Gee. “Zircon metal locators offer simple, effective, and affordable ways to locate and avoid rebar in concrete, find metals behind various surfaces, and demonstrate an unrivaled ability to exceed our customer’s expectations, ultimately saving time and money.”
