Rivit has got behind the Reds of Borgo Panigale in the WorldSBK and WorldSSP championships to reaffirm its strong local vocation in the field of mechanics and engines, but also the focus on innovation and research.
The Ozzano dell’Emilia, Bologna-based fastening system specialist – best known for rivets and riveting tools – will supply its products to the Aruba.it Racing – Ducati team in the prestigious motorsport championships Suberbike and SuperSport. Rivit will support the mechanics in their work of maintenance and tuning of the bikes and pits throughout the championship, combining its brand with the Reds of Borgo Panigale.
The collaboration was created to promote and emphasise the connection between two excellences of the Emilian territory, a place that has always attracted and favoured the establishment of companies linked to mechanics and motors. It is in this context that the Ozzano-based Rivit was chosen to work with Ducati and motorsport, sharing values and principles such as attention and support for research and innovation for the constant improvement of products and performance.
The series-derived championship, which started on 24-26 February, will consist of 12 rounds at the most important international tracks around the world and will touch down on UK soil in Donington Park Circuit (30 Jun - 02 Jul). The Aruba.it Racing - Ducati team will see reigning world champion Alvaro Bautista and Italian Michael Ruben Rinaldi take to the track for SBK, while in SSP Nicolò Bulega will race.
"With the sponsorship of the Aruba.it Racing - Ducati team, we resume our relationship with the sport after a couple of years of interruption,” said Rivit CEO Guido Greco.
“The decision to focus on motorsport with the Rivit brand is consistent not only with the logic of enhancing our territory, which has always been a land of motors, but also to enhance at the level of the Fervi Group (of which we are part) the support to local superbikes. Participating as a sponsor in the SBK and SSP world championships is therefore an important opportunity for us to highlight the quality of our products, capable of meeting the high standards required in top-level sporting competitions, but it also highlights our ambition to be at the top of our reference market.”
