Qonnect has recently implemented leadership changes which have been ‘in the works’ for some time now. Jan Aarts is retiring from active management and Daan Schrijen has been promoted to Managing Director.
Jan Aarts is well known for his contribution to the fastener industry, as founder of the first large scale Importer and distributor for the Chinese manufactured Masterfix Rivets. His developed business model still serves as a blueprint for most fastener distributors in Europe to date.
His career in this industry covers four decades and has been inspiring to many in it. With a pioneering spirit, he sourced the Chinese market for fasteners and developed business in a country which was as unaccustomed to us as we were to them. Jan managed to create a successful business and brand, based on trust, knowledge and generosity. This is still vibrant in our company, a blueprint of conducting business we are all proud of.
As of October this year, Daan Schrijen has expanded on his function, extending Operational Management to Managing Director. This effectively concludes the transition of Jan Aarts from active management to an advisory level.
Daan has been active on Jan’s side with QONNECT since 2014, sharing his experience and carrying this to the current level at which we are active today.
Qonnect has recently enrolled a new corporate identity and will be introducing new product groups and partnerships in the near future, Daan will oversee and manage the company in these new ventures.
