CONDAT expands in China

One year after the successful launch with its brand-new plant in Qingdao, Shandong province, CONDAT is excited to announce a major milestone in its growth strategy in China. On July 15, 2024, CONDAT finalised the acquisition of the Chinese company ShuangQi/Gaosen, a key local solution provider for wire drawing lubricants. This acquisition significantly strengthens CONDAT's presence in the Chinese market and further establishes its position as a leading reference in steelcord applications. Specialised in the formulation and manufacture of sodium soaps, ShuangQi/Gaosen will complement CONDAT’s existing portfolio.

Expanding Steelcord Offer and Technological Capabilities

In addition to consolidating its market presence, CONDAT is enhancing its product range, particularly in the steelcord segment. At Wire China, in Shanghai, CONDAT will present its comprehensive offer, including precoating treatments, patenting polymers, and next-generation soluble lubricants. These solutions are specifically designed for high- and low-carbon steel wire applications, including saw wire, PC wire, welding wire, and more.

Innovative solubles for wet drawing

A highlight of the show will be CONDAT’s new soluble lubricants. They represent a significant technological breakthrough, featuring next-generation formulas that deliver high-performance results while adhering to CSR commitments. Developed to meet the future regulatory requirements, they improve both performance and environmental impact, by replacing controversial raw materials and offering a better working environment for the users.

Designed for the most demanding wire-drawing processes, these lubricants enable the drawing of high-tensile steel wires and innovative alloys that did not exist just a few years ago. These products not only deliver exceptional performance but also align with CONDAT’s commitment to sustainability and its CSR initiatives, as recognized by CONDAT Ecovadis Platinum certification.
