Coating specialist Dörken has restructured as of 1 August 2020. The company now features two major operational units and has re-branded departments which will now be operating under the Dörken umbrella. The Dörken umbrella will cover the entire corporate group.
“We are all Dörken," said Dörken CEO Thorsten Koch. "With the new brand architecture, the uniform design and the strong joint claim ‘Discover Expertise’, we can now present this unity clearly and invitingly to the outside world. That’s how what belongs together grows together.”
Dörken MKS-Systeme, CD-Color and Protec Systempasen are merging into one company under the name Dörken Coatings GmbH & Co. KG. Individual product brands from the paint, coating and paste areas remain the same. Additionally, its pitched roof, façade sheetings foundation, wall protection and drainage systems will now be distributed under the name Dörken Membranes.
The restructuring of the company and the rebrand of departments also creates opportunities for the range of products and services, innovations and further expansion.
Managing Director of Dörken GmbH & Co. KG, Ingo Quent, also sees opportunities for expansion within Dörken Membranes: “In the area of building envelopes we can expand our range enormously beyond our key business - protection against condensation or external influences. This comprehensive range will now be visible to everyone under the Dörken umbrella brand.”
Company appearance is also being modernised as part of the restructure through the change in corporate identity and logo adaptations. A first impression of the new design can be viewed online at www.doerken.de.
Additionally, the innovation within the company is not only displayed through digital rebranding, for example, the firm's newly developed tiny house demonstrates the individual areas of competence and expertise in the field of physical membranes as well as chemical coating solutions and their interactions. “This also renders our “Dörken protects value” claim truly visible and tangible for the first time,” said Thorsten Koch.
The new restructure and rebranding will help create new opportunities for the range of products and services offered by Dörken. Dr. Martin Welp and Dr. Gerhard Reusmann, the managing directors of the new Dörken Coatings, are therefore looking forward to continuously improving the performance and service quality in the field of coatings as a strong team.
“The new corporate law structure allows us to bundle our energy to help forming the future of our sector. It is now even easier for us to position our different areas of expertise on the market profitably and to provide these to our partners in the best possible form”, said Dr. Martin Welp.
Ewald Dörken has recently won a place on the TOP 100 innovation list for the seventh time in its history. The firm said the award was an endorsement of its “clear focus on sustainable products and technologies”.
