Specialinsert has announced that its self-anchoring insert for stone and solid surfaces - named Keep-Nut - now has ETA certification (ETA-15/0615).
In particular the ETA refers to the Keep-Nut to be used as fastener for the rear fixing of façade panels made of ceramic tiles (stoneware), according to EN 14411:2012.
Keep-Nut acheived the ETA following a long and strict process carried out by the Deutsches Institut für Bautechnik (DIBt) with outcomes from approximately 100 different lab tests performed by the Polytechnic of Milan as independent body.
The Keep-Nut requires no undercut hole, so installation is fast and easy - no adhesive or resin is required either. The Keep-Nut range has seen the introduction of AISI 316L stainless steel.
