GWR Fasteners buys new machine for faster production

Shropshire-based fastener manufacturer and distributor GWR Fasteners has acquired a Citizen Miyano BNA-42DHY3 7 CNC Machine.

The machine boasts a 42mm bar-fed capacity and a compact sub-terrain, allowing for superimposed machining. This advancement will reduce GWR’s current cycle times, enabling faster production of each component. With its user-friendly operation and quick changeover capabilities, the new machine will contribute to a more efficient and streamlined manufacturing process.

Additionally, the machine was acquired to meet the company's growing demand for captive screws. Modified in-house by GWR Fasteners, these screws have gained popularity due to their unique design, which enables disassembly without removing the screw. This feature prevents loss, enhances safety, and allows for easy, repeated access.

“We manufacture for a range of different industries which are constantly evolving and developing. This upgrade in equipment means we are able to grow with our customers and supply them with more intricate and tailored solutions,” said Tom Ellis, Commercial Manager at GWR Fasteners.

“This investment ensures we can meet the demands of our customers. By increasing the efficiency of our manufacturing process, we can ultimately pass on any savings we will make to our customers without compromising on quality,” he added.
