Industrial fasteners and supply chain solutions Optimas has announced that it had surpassed its year-end 2025 sustainability targets.
Optimas met its target two years ahead of schedule. For the reporting period of 2023, Optimas achieved a 17.5% reduction in Scope 1 and 2 emissions, enabled by renewable energy procurement and enhanced refrigerant management. The company’s Scope 3 emissions intensity also reduced by 14.9%, outperforming initial projections for 2025 through a combination of emissions reductions and revenue growth.
In the long run, Optimas aims to reduce Scope 1 and 2 emissions by 55% by 2030 and achieve net zero by 2037. Regarding Scope 3 emissions intensity, it aims to reduce it by 51.6% by 2030, achieving net zero by 2050.
“This progress strengthens our ability to deliver value to customers while leading the way in sustainable supply chain practices,” said Daniel Harms, CEO of Americas at Optimas.
The company added that it remains focused on implementing its decarbonisation roadmap, which includes supplier collaboration, low-carbon transport solutions and global employee engagement.
