A. Perry has announced that it has expanded its sales force with the appointment of Gary McBride as new Regional Business Development Manager for Scotland.
Bringing over 18 years’ experience to the newly created role, McBride will assume overall sales responsibility in the catchment for the full range and product offering under the A. Perry umbrella, including its market-leading hardware and ironmongery brand, Perry Trade and award winning brand Perry Equestrian and garden décor brand, Primus.
He said: “The team at A. Perry are clearly a force to be reckoned with in this competitive sector and I am delighted to be joining them. Over the past 18 months, they have really invested in their supply chain, their manufacturing capabilities and their new automated infrastructure; whilst also bringing to market a whole range of new products under all three of their brands and I can’t wait to take all this to retailers.
“With my key contacts already in place from previous roles, I very much look forward to re-visiting them with my Perry hat on and showcasing the quality and sheer range of products we have all under one roof. Why buy from a number of suppliers when you get everything under one roof of the utmost quality with the added financial gains to be had from economies of purchase?”
Reporting to Commercial Sales Manager, Patrick Corcoran, McBride will play an intrinsic role in educating the sector in Scotland on the many steps forward Perry has taken including the £1.2m investment in robot automation in the warehouse and the purpose-built manufacturing base in India that all ensure the firm retains its marketing leading position.
Patrick Corcoran said: “Gary has already hit the ground running and we are confident that his passion for our industry, depth of knowledge, key connections and relationships with our key customer base will be invaluable to the territory succeeding.”
