Stainless steel industry is the pillar industry of Dainan Town, with nearly 2,000 stainless steel enterprises.
In order to make the stainless steel industry bigger and stronger, Dainan town has realised "Five Concentration", which provides support for the high-quality development of stainless steel industry.
Jinqiao Welding Material project is a typical project. The project covers an area of 142,000 m², with a total investment of 1.5 billion yuan. Production includes low alloy steel, heat-resistant steel and other series, a variety of brands of welding materials, which can meet 80% of the domestic welding needs like shipbuilding industry, pressure vessel industry and other industries.
The first phase of the project has been completed and put into operation. At present, the second and third phases are getting started. After the completion of the project, 400,000 tons of solid gas shielded welding wire can be produced annually, with an annual invoice sales of 3 billion yuan and taxes of 300 million yuan. The domestic market share can reach 75%.
It is said that several big projects like 5G communication base station, intelligent manufacturing of high-performance special alloy wire products, stainless steel scrap processing are under construction. Among them, Kangtong New Material Industrial Park is expected to be completed in December 2021. After completion, it will strive to become a national well-known stainless steel fastener industry cluster by carrying out professional investment promotion around the fastener industry. It will become an incubator for small and micro enterprises, and a new highland for the transformation and development of Dainan stainless steel industry.
