The Speciality Tools & Fasteners Distributors Association (STAFDA) has announced that it will hold in person workshops during its Orlando Convention 24-26 October.
The Trade Show will begin with four ninety-minute workshops on 24 October from 8:30-10:00 am- Noon. The workshops will repeat to a different audience following a thirty-minute break. There will also be one workshop in the afternoon on 24 October and an additionally programme 26 October.
The first workshop on the morning of 24 October will focus on ‘Decoding Micro- Expressions to Increase Sales’ and will be delivered by Janine Driver, a former federal law enforcement officer with the Department of Justice and CEO of the Body Language Institute. She will share her knowledge of how to read others’ body language to spot deception on phone calls, emails, Facebook posts, handwritten notes, and social media.
Another workshop will be led by Kelly McDonald and focus on ‘How to Work with & Lead People Not Like You’. McDonald will offer specific tactics for employees to succeed in today’s workplace without becoming frustrated by approaches to work that may differ from theirs.
The third workshop will focus on ‘The Unspoken Rules of Leadership’ and will be delivered by Jamie Turner. His workshop will look at the four pillars of leadership (mentoring, marketing, mindset, management).
The final workshop of the morning will be led by Skip Weisman on ‘Overcoming the 7 Deadliest Communication SINs’. Weisman will do a deep-dive into interpersonal workplace communications. Attendees will learn about defining workplace communication problems, how to increase workplace productivity by 50% overnight, and more.
In the afternoon, a Sales PRO Update will be delivered by Paul Reilly which will include techniques on how to address today’s new selling environment encompassing virtual selling, creating personal value, and customer messaging.
The 26 October session, an Economic Update by Alan Beaulieu will take place from 8:00-9:30 am. As STAFDA’s Economic Advisor, Beaulieu will present his annual economic recap of 2021 and offer his forecast for 2022 and beyond.
Registration materials for STAFDA’s Orlando Convention & Trade Show will be sent to all members in mid-June. Online registration begins from the members-only section of www.stafda.org at 8:00 a.m. (Central) on 28 June.
The workshops are included in the Convention registration fee, and are only available to STAFDA members Non-members can visit www.stafda.org to review and complete membership applications.
