Hailing from its headquarters in Castel Guelfo, Bologna, Berardi today is a network of 12 Italian depots, three subsidiaries (Vibolt, Vitman, VIBF), a representative office in Croatia, and a sales branch in Morocco. The latest entry in the company’s offering of logistics services is the EasySelf-24 system.
The EasySelf-24 is a vending system for industrial equipment, which can be placed close to production lines. “With this tool,” explains Project Coordinator Andrea Destro, “our clients can reduce costs, as every single operator becomes responsible, and the whole supply chain is monitored and tracked.”
The EasySelf-24 is a smart machine that provides useful information to simplify the management of the items stored within it. Endowed with carousels and separate bins with doors, the machine can store various items, both fast-moving and durable items, both large and small, such as PPE, utensils, or consumables such as drill bits, abrasive pads and spare parts.
Among its many functions, the EasySelf-24 can handle the returning of durable items when they need maintenance or re-calibration, for example torque wrenches.
The machine sends a notification when the usage timespan expires, so that the operator can return the used item, and take a new or restored one.
Its storage capacity is flexible, to obtain maximum efficiency and get quicker returns on the investment made.
The EasySelf-24 optimises consumption, reducing total storage costs, and handles as many as 560 items in minimal space. The management software allows for easy monitoring of low stocks and reordering points, while providing usage data that leads to stocks and cost savings.
