Footprint Tools joins British Home Enhancement Trade Association (BHETA)

UK manufacturer of professional quality hand tools, Footprint Tools has joined the British Home Enhancement Trade Association (BHETA).

The invention of the Footprint wrench in 1875 and the founding of the original Footprint Works in Sheffield in 1900 set the course for the company today.

The company's range includes hand tools for professional builders, woodworkers, decorators and plumbers - with pipe wrenches still a significant part of the business.  The company exports all over the world and its products have an international reputation for quality and performance.

Tim Jewitt, Footprint director, said: “The time is right.  Footprint doing well at home and overseas as professional quality, British manufacture and sustainability combine to give the brand excellent credentials in the market.  It is also clear that the traditional sales channels are changing and that more and more DIY consumers are looking for professional quality tools, so I am confident that BHETA can be helpful in ensuring that the company continues to grow as it is doing.”

Keeley Vernon, BHETA’s sector manager for DIY said: “The UK DIY market is a very dynamic and exciting place to be at the moment; and it’s great to see a brand with the history and pedigree of Footprint joining BHETA to explore the opportunities.”
