Hafren Security Fasteners is among the fastener companies remaining open for business during Wales’ Covid-19 firebreak lockdown.
Running from Friday 23 October to Monday 9 November 2020, the lockdown affects all of Wales and has been designed to regain control of coronavirus in the country.
Many fastener businesses around the world remained operational during the strict lockdown of early 2020.
Hafren said: “As a supplier of fixings to critical national infrastructure projects including NHS Nightingale hospitals, prisons, power stations and public transport it is essential that we maintain the supply of our fixings to our customers.
“Yes, times are challenging, but follow the government restrictions and together we’ll get out of this pandemic quicker.”
Since Covid-19 struck, Hafren has supplied fasteners to a wide variety of applications, many medical (including defibrillators, ventilators and hospital beds), Formula 1 teams and bike share schemes. The firm revealed that R&D continues despite the disruption, with new security fasteners in the making.
Hafren has also been working on new eco-friendly boxes which are beginning to filter into its range.
Earlier in the pandemic, the firm launched a high quality range of hands-free sanitiser stations for trade counters and merchants.
