The Hilti Academy in Kaufering, Germany is now officially open after construction completed in the summer.
The Academy, which took 16 months to complete, is part of a programme of modernisation and expansion of Hilti's existing facilities, which will take place in the coming years and is expected to create new jobs.
The new open and light-flooded Hilti Academy serves as a replacement for the former training centre and will provide new opportunities for training employees and customers alike. New employees will be schooled and briefed on future tasks while there will also be a wide variety of continuation training possibilities for existing employees. The Academy will also offer Hilti customers a broad-based range of technical and practical training seminars.
“We are very pleased that we were able to further expand the range of training offered in our new Hilti Academy premises,” said Hilti Germany General Manager Jochen Olbert. “The Hilti Academy also gives us better possibilities to tailor diverse customer training possibilities, which we already offer, to clearly meet what customers want and need.”
The Hilti Art Foundation handed over three large sculptures at the inauguration, created by the late Swiss artist Gottfried Honegger, which have been placed in front of the Academy's entrance.
