Southco expands hardware line with tool-free access knob

Southco has grown its captive hardware line with the new tool-free access 4C Wing Knob.

The captive screw enables quick-access fastening and features an over-moulded, wing-style head that can be used with an array of standard and bespoke colour options.

According to the company, the 4C Wing Knob offers simplified positioning of sliding components, simple installation and quick-release for easy removal. Press-in, flare-in and Surface Mount Technology (SMT) options mean hand fastening and unfastening is possible, for instance while mounting doors, panels and other hardware components.

Jim Grady, Global Product Manager at Southco, explained: “Southco’s newest 4C Captive Screw features a wing-style head for easy hands-on/hands-off access and colour options that allow engineers to easily designate access points based on the unique requirements of the application. This latest innovation reflects our ongoing commitment to delivering practical solutions which address the needs of our customers and the industries they serve.”

Southco has UK facilities in Warndon and Farndon.
