Gesipa is showcasing for the first time in the UK its FireRex Robotic Blind Rivet Nut Setting unit at MACH 2016, on 11th-15th April at the Birmingham NEC, on stand 5573. The company is inviting anyone interested to register for a one-to-one session with a Gesipa engineer.
FireRex is a hydropneumatic blind rivet nut setting tool with external pressure booster for greater flexibility. As a further development of the tried and tested FireFox® 2, the FireRex is capable of setting blind rivet nuts at any conceivable angle in industrial production processes.
The external pressure booster makes the FireRex particularly suitable for use in tight spaces. The special gun of the FireRex can be integrated in production systems and facilitates flexible and ergonomically efficient manual working procedures in applications with restricted access and therefore require riveting from above. The system ets blind rivet nuts from M3 to M10 in all materials as well as M12 in aluminium and steel.
Gesipa Blind Riveting Systems Ltd was established as a UK subsidiary for the German Gesipa Group in 1971, setting up its manufacturing base in Keighley, West Yorkshire.
With the initial aim of providing German technology to the UK fastening sector it began its existence as a piece part manufacturer, but has evolved into a modern industrial production facility able to offer a full process from concept through to design, manufacture and testing in addition to standard off the shelf products. Its products include blind rivets and nuts, rivet tools, kits and automatic riveting units.
Gesipa has recently opened a new customer demonstration room at its Keighley headquarters.
