Snickers-owner Hultafors buys Johnson Level & Tool

Hultafors Group's big line-up of brands - including Snickers and Dunderdon workwear, Hultafors hand tools, Wibe ladders, Solid Gear and Toe Guard footwear - has grown with the acquisition of US-based Johnson Level & Tool.

Goteborg, Sweden-headquartered Hultafors Group aims to strengthen its presence in the US through the acquisition.

Based in Mequon, Wisconsin, Johnson Level has supplied innovative solutions across a broad spectrum of customers in the Layout and Measuring product categories for over 70 years. Today, Johnson is reportedly the only US-based supplier offering a full spectrum of levels, lasers and layout tools and has built a reputation for offering Category Leadership, Product Authority and Award-Winning Customer Service.

“No other company in the North American marketplace has a greater breadth of line, a deeper understanding of the tradesmen they serve or the channel partners with whom they work than Johnson,” said Hultafors Group CEO Ole Kristian Jødahl. “We are extremely proud to be expanding our product portfolio with Johnson and are committed to expanding their portfolio with ours. This acquisition is part of our strategy to strengthen our presence in North America.”
