Peter Brett joins Torque Magazine

Industry veteran Peter Brett is joining Torque Magazine from January 2019.

Bolstering Torque Magazine’s presence in the tool market, Brett is a highly experienced reviewer and journalist having spent over 25 years in the tool and related trades. He joins as Reviewer/Reporter.

Brett will work as an independent tester for Torque Magazine, reviewing tools, fasteners and related products. The seasoned journalist will also continue to be a presence at industry shows and around the industry.

Publisher Jerry Ramsdale said: “We’re very excited to have Peter join us at Torque Magazine. It is a real coup for us to bring him on board with his industry knowledge and experience.

“He’s already got started reviewing products for us and he’s a great addition to the team, which we have been growing over the past few months as the Torque Magazine business expands.”

Peter Brett’s interest in designing, making and building was kindled in Southern Africa where he grew up. As a student, he helped to build schools in rural areas in Africa from the ground up, so he has done all the jobs – without the benefit of electrical tools. He has worked as a consultant for international firms in product development for both hand and power tools. His real life and workshop condition tool usage has given him the ideal grounding to review products and offer a true reflection of them. He also makes a small range of furniture and wooden goods for sale at craft outlets and contributes occasionally to end user woodworking titles.
