FEIN restructure strengthens end-user provision & dealer support

Power tool manufacturer FEIN has restructured its UK operations in a bid to offer more support to end-users and strengthen its application-based metal working strategy.

The firm has split its sales operation into three areas (North, Central and South) with multiple managers covering each area. Area sales managers will focus on supporting FEIN dealers whilst technical sales managers will provide consultative support to end-users.

According to FEIN, the move will allow its representatives to work more closely with those in the metal working sector, enabling them to present targeted solutions to the problems end-users are facing in their daily applications.

The restructure also provides a greater capacity to visit workplaces, where representatives can carry out free demonstrations of its products in order to help businesses select the most appropriate products for their metal working requirements, and in turn improve efficiency and safety.

"With over 150 years' experience of manufacturing power tools, FEIN has a proud history of innovation and the change in structure supports our ongoing strategy to provide high levels of support to dealers and application-based solutions to end users in the metal working sector," said FEIN national sales manager, Andy Mills.

"Our expert representatives have a huge amount of industry experience themselves and with more representatives spread across the UK, we are now able to visit more end-users than ever before and gain a thorough understanding of their applications and the problems their facing. It will also provide the opportunity for end users to learn more about the fantastic range of products and solutions the FEIN offers."

Mills stressed the importance of FEIN's dealer network regarding the restructure: "Our relationships with dealers are also a key part of our business, the restructure will enable us to provide the necessary support to ensure they have everything the need to be able to sell as many products as possible, from marketing materials to promotions."

Torque recently shot some quick-fire questions at Mills in an Industry Q&A about his background in the power tool industry.
