Fastener Training Week scheduled for Cleveland in March

The Fastener Training Institute has announced its next Fastener Training Week is scheduled to take place 16-20 March in Cleveland.

The advanced technical training programme is offered in partnership with the Industrial Fasteners Institute and is aimed at fastener distributors, manufacturers and end users.

Part of the acclaimed FTI Certified Fastener Specialist (CFS) advanced technical training programme, five intensive days of education and plant tours are offered. After completing this training in a small group environment and passing a final exam, attendees are eligible for the CFS designation.

Timely topics including manufacturing processes, consensus standards and quality control will be taught by leading industry experts Salim Brahimi, IFI Director of Engineering Technology, Laurence Claus, NNi Training and Consulting, and John Medcalf, Peak Innovations Engineering.

Participants, who will be professionals active in fastener sales, purchasing, manufacturing or quality assurance, will also tour manufacturing, secondary processes and testing facilities including Tensile Testing, Auto Bolt and ND Industries.

Registration includes three full days and two half days of training, educational materials, continental breakfast and lunch, transportation for plant tours, certification of completion and eligibility for the CFS designation.

Early-bird fees are available until 24th February and a $500 discount is available for Pac-West, NFDA, IFI, MWFA and SFA members, while grants are on offer from the Industrial Fasteners Institute.

Additional Fastener Training Week programmes are to take place in Chicago between 17-21 August, and in Houston between 7-11 December. One day classes will be offered in Chicago in March, April, May, June and August.
