The Red Dot jury said: "The slimBit-Box presents itself as a working aid in a contemporary design, with practical orientation as the topmost design principle."
Wiha is no stranger to Red Dot Awards, having won them in the years 2007–2010, 2013–2015, 2017 and now 2019.
The slimBit system was originally developed to reach low-lying screws, where a traditional blade diameter often too large in conventional electric screwdrivers. It is compatible with Wiha's speedE e-screwdriver that was launched at Cologne in 2018.

While tool innovators like Wiha have earned Red Dot awards, the accolades have been far thinner on the ground for the fastener sector, particularly for screws - although Tenz has recently begun to redress the balance.
