Gesipa celebrates 65 years

This year marks GESIPA's 65th anniversary in business.

In 1955, a small company named “GESellschaft für Internationale PAtentverwertung” (International Patent Utilization Company) was founded and shortly afterwards a patent application was filed for the "process of producing breakstem blind rivet joints" and the "hand tool for setting blind rivets”.

GESIPA's first participation in the Hanover trade fair came at the end of the 1950s, where the firm made a lasting impression with its on many customers from various industries with blind riveting technology.

Family-owned until the end of 2008, GESIPA has now been a member of the internationally operating SFS Group for more than ten years and has established itself as one of the leading suppliers in the sector of blind riveting technology.

From the first battery-powered blind rivet setting tool to efficient, automatic processing with setting process monitoring, GESIPA blind riveting technology has been meeting the highest demands in industry and trade for 65 years.

Despite some challenges, its targeted investments in worldwide locations, market orientation, flexibility and concentration on local core competences have made GESIPA a strong and robust company in the past decades. GESIPA added: "It was and is mainly the people, affectionately called “Gesipaner” in the company, who create trust and reliability with their enthusiasm, experience, competence and honesty. They translate slogans into values that today, especially in these difficult times, are more important than ever, and thus shape the cooperation with customers and partners.

"To ensure that you can celebrate further anniversaries with us in the future, we have a big focus on progress, which has always been GESIPAs credo. We have made it our business to constantly improve our products, to develop new ideas that the markets of tomorrow need and that will continue to impress our customers."
