Up and coming comedians and magicians lined up for Torque-Expo Gala-Dinner

As the countdown to Torque-Expo is ticking down into the final weeks, more details are being revealed for the unique trade show, including this year’s all-new entertainment for the Gala Dinner networking event.

The Gala Dinner, which takes place on 11th October, will provide a relaxed networking setting as well as entertainment from two brand new up-and-coming comedians alongside two magicians. Future stars Tom Glover and Luke Honnoraty are fast rising through the comedy ranks and will be new to most of the Gala Dinner audience. Providing the magic will be Paul Lytton and Mike Donoghue.

Tom Glover
Westcountry favourite Tom Glover burst onto the scene in 2010 reaching the latter stages of some of the country’s top new act competitions and being crowned SCF New Act of the Year in 2012.tom glover

Since then Tom has established himself as a familiar face on the UK comedy scene, hosting a number of gigs up and down the country where he has worked alongside the likes of Russell Kane, Sean Hughes and Romesh Ranganathan.

Also a regular at the Edinburgh Comedy Festival since 2014, Tom is touring his debut solo show around the UK’s comedy festivals in 2017. A firm favourite with audiences of all ages for his wickedly funny routines and expert observations on everyday life.

Luke Honnoraty
Highly regarded as one of the best acts to emerge from the south west in recent years, award winning stand-up lukecomedian Luke Honnoraty has been hotly tipped by some of the UK’s biggest promoters as ‘one to watch’ in 2016.
After bursting onto the circuit in 2010 as the winner of the ‘South West New Act of the Year’, Luke has gone from strength and is now performing alongside the biggest names in comedy in some if the UK’s top comedy clubs.

In recent years Luke has been hand picked to support Matt Richardson and Katherine Ryan on their south west tour dates, appeared on BBC Radio 4 alongside Craig Campbell and performed a sell out run with his debut Edinburgh Fringe show ‘Small Town Heroes’ in 2015 alongside Tom.

 

Magician Paul Lytton is originally from the North East and performs all over the UK. Lytton is a close up magician based in Newcastle-Upon-Tyne pauland is sure to be a talking point for months after the Gala Dinner.
