B&Q and Homebase are among the retailers preparing to cash in on Father’s Day with a raft of promotions to lure in customers.
B&Q has produced a Father’s Day ‘Product Flash’ media release, pushing discounted products in DIY, gardening, BBQ and gadgets, including brands Stanley, Black & Decker, JCB and Mac Allister. Meanwhile Homebase has a Father’s Day landing page on its website, pushing brands including Ryobi, Bosch and Black & Decker ahead of this weekend.
On Twitter, Screwfix is running a Father’s Day gift card competition promo.
Last year, UK consumers were predicted to spend £684 million on Father’s Day (via Conlumino), this year falling on 19 June.
