Automechanika hails UK debut in Birmingham

Thanks to a strong showing for Automechanika Birmingham earlier this month, next year’s event is already shaping up to be a bigger show, according to the organiser.

Over 12,000 trade visitors turned up to the automotive trade exhibition which was being held in the UK for the first time. The successful show series has 15 editions staged around the world and features a wide range of exhibitors, including fastener firms.

Bookings for the 2017 event have already exceeded those for the June 2016 show, with a 35% increase in stand space booked.

Simon Albert, event director said: “We are delighted with the success of Automechanika Birmingham. We listened to what the exhibitors and visitors wanted, and with significant investment in the marketing campaign, we delivered an all-encompassing event that exceeded all expectations. We have something unique here that the industry needed, and it wouldn’t have been possible without the overwhelming support of the exhibitors, visitors and trade partners. Next year the event will continue to go from strength to strength with 35% increase in stand space, a supply chain specific area and will be co-located alongside Reifen, the world leading tyre exhibition.”
