Staff and directors of English Chain celebrated 100 years of being in business this week at the company’s Petersfield site in Hampshire.
English Chain relocated its main business to its purpose designed premises four years ago, following the acquisition of a number of other businesses, and to accommodate its growth in sales in the UK and across the globe.
In addition to almost every type of chain - English Chain offer specialist assemblies, bespoke solutions along with security products and rope. As chain manufacturers of millions of assembles each year, designing and manufacturing cost-effective assemblies for customers is an important part of English Chain’s service. The company’s product range, experience and capacity enable them to produce small prototype batches as well as millions for scheduled call-off orders.
All the staff are delighted to have reached such a monumental milestone, with team members who have clocked up a total of 200 years' service all enjoying a well-deserved glass of bubbly with Managing Director Colin Thornton and Chairman Martin Newsome. The group are looking forward to the next 100 years.
